Use the mountains as the first chapter, then slow down in Fenghuang. The following five-day sequence is a suggested planning outline; town accommodation, river activities and any village visit require separate local confirmation.

DAY 1
Yuanjiajie & Tianzi Mountain
First part · Discuss an entry time and access via the Bailong Elevator, then follow Yuanjiajie’s linked viewpoints.
Later · Continue by scenic shuttle towards Tianzi Mountain’s panoramas, choosing a descent to suit the day.
Moderate walking and repeated steps; elevator, cableway and shuttle tickets need itemised confirmation.DAY 2
Golden Whip Stream & Ten-Mile Gallery
First part · Choose a manageable section of the Golden Whip Stream corridor beneath the sandstone walls.
Later · Discuss Ten-Mile Gallery and its walking or local transport options, with time for breaks.
A selected stream segment is not the full 7.5 km route. Agree endpoints and walking capacity first.DAY 3
Tianmen Mountain
First part · Use the confirmed ticket route to reach the mountain and explore a suitable summit section.
Later · Discuss the glass walkway and Tianmen Cave sequence, following the operating route on your date.
Steps, exposed paths and heights matter. Do not assume a particular ticket line or stair-free route.DAY 4
Travel to Fenghuang
First part · Check out and make the agreed inter-city connection.
Later · Settle into the chosen town base and discuss an evening walk or river activity.
A river-view room and night cruise are requests until a named supplier confirms them.DAY 5
Fenghuang & onward travel
First part · Allow time for the town or discuss an optional hosted village visit.
Later · Leave space for your onward connection instead of packing in unconfirmed stops.
Miao and Tujia cultural traditions must be distinguished; village access and hosts are not assumed.
