When you submit the journey form, your contact details, planning preferences and selected places are sent to our business mailbox so our team can respond. If you email us directly, your email address, message and any attachments you include are also delivered to that mailbox.
If you choose WhatsApp, you leave this website to use that service. Any messages you send there are separate from the website form and are handled through WhatsApp.
Do not submit passport numbers, identity documents, payment card details, medical records or other unnecessary sensitive information.

How My Zhangjiajie works
My Zhangjiajie stores the IDs of your selected places and journeys in your browser's local storage. The website uses those IDs to show the current English names when you return on the same browser and device.
It is a preference list, not an account, a booking or a shopping cart. You can remove individual choices or clear the list from the interface.
04 · PURPOSE
Planning and privacy correspondence
Email and WhatsApp are available for planning requests and website questions; please use the listed privacy email for privacy correspondence. These links open the relevant service; they do not automatically send a message or submit the website form.
Journey enquiries and marketing subscriptions must remain separate. Marketing consent will not be assumed from a planning request.
05 · ENQUIRY DELIVERY
How the form sends your enquiry
The form sends your details over HTTPS to our website server, which emails them to info@zhangjiajiebeyond.org using Tencent business email. Your contact address is used for replying, not for sending an automatic confirmation email. Messages are stored in our business mailbox; there is no separate website enquiry database.
A success message means the email service accepted the request for delivery, not that an advisor has read it. If sending is unavailable or delivery cannot be confirmed, the page tells you to contact us directly.
06 · SERVICE PROVIDERS
Hosting and international processing
Vercel hosts the website and processes form submissions. Tencent business email handles delivery and storage in our business mailbox. Processing locations and any applicable international transfer arrangements still need to be documented fully during operational review.
07 · DEVICE TECHNOLOGY
Cookies and similar technology
The current enquiry system does not activate a production analytics provider. My Zhangjiajie uses local storage for saved selections. Any future non-essential analytics or advertising technology must be documented and supported by consent controls where applicable.
08 · RETENTION & SECURITY
Keeping information only as long as needed
Enquiry emails remain in our business mailbox. The retention period is not yet approved; contact our privacy mailbox for questions or deletion requests. We do not save the form fields in browser local storage or a separate website database.
For abuse prevention and duplicate handling, the server temporarily keeps salted IP hashes, request identifiers and submission fingerprints in memory for a 15-minute checking window. Expired entries are removed on the next request or when the server instance ends. Application error logs contain an enquiry reference, not your form text or contact details. Hosting and email providers may keep their own operational logs.
09 · YOUR CHOICES
Access, correction and deletion
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, request portability, or complain to a supervisory authority. The final policy will explain which rights apply and provide a verified way to exercise them.
10 · CHILDREN
Information about younger travellers
The planning service is intended for adults. A parent or guardian should provide only the information reasonably needed to plan for a child and should avoid unnecessary identifying or sensitive information.
