The viewpoint commonly associated with the Avatar-inspired “Hallelujah Mountain” is in Yuanjiajie, inside the wider Wulingyuan scenic system. The authorised guide identifies the pillar as Qiankun Pillar, also labelled Avatar Mountain, and places it on the Yuanjiajie walking route near other signature viewpoints rather than at Tianmen Mountain or the Glass Bridge.
The place name to look for
Use Yuanjiajie as the practical destination name. The manual’s Yuanjiajie map places Avatar Mountain—Qiankun Pillar—on the walking route with nearby viewpoints such as the Enchanting Terrace and the No. 1 Bridge in the World.
“Avatar Mountains” is an informal travel label for the wider sandstone-peak scenery. It does not refer to one separate park entrance.
Plan the viewpoint as part of a route
The pillar is best understood within a Yuanjiajie day rather than as a stand-alone stop. Your approach can include scenic buses, the Bailong Elevator or linked ridge routes depending on the entrance and current operation.
Do not confuse this location with Tianmen Mountain, Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon or its Glass Bridge. They are separate visitor areas.
